Living honestly, you begin to shape your life by owning the truth about yourself. Pleasant or not, you will get clarity of your emotions. Authenticity is not a goal that you achieve, but the process of:
- Trusting your intuition
- Practicing what you preach
- Making decisions that you are pleased with
Discover your barriers to authentic living and begin dismantling them one by one.
-
People Pleasing - you do not take risks because you fear what others will think of you. Toss the people pleasing filter aside and start living in a way that is true to yourself. This will probably disappoint some people along the way, but you will survive.
-
Comparison- You do not take risks because you have convinced yourself that compared to others, they can do it better than you. So, you watch other people living authentically achieving your Awareness is the first step to dismantling this barrier. Keep track how many times per day you find that you compare yourself to others.
-
Perfectionism - You do not take risks for fear of making a mistake. Striving for unattainable perfection is not only self-destructive and paralyzing but it also hampers the success you strive for. The world is prevented from experiencing who you really are and who they really need you to be, true to yourself…perfectly imperfect. Perceiving the difference between healthy striving and perfectionism is critical to dismantling the barrier of perfectionism in living authentically.
Let’s be true to ourselves and become all that we are meant to be!
Like me, do you struggle with any of these barriers?
Have you had success dismantling any of these barriers?
I’d love to hear from you!
